Welcome

Home and Garden Thursday
1st week - Garden
Normally, I share Home Decor the during the first week of the month, but we had a full
weekend filled with family celebrations - my husband's family annually gets
together for their reunion during Labor Day weekend, which is also around the time of
our son's birthday.?It is marvelous to celebrate one another - and to celebrate births. Such
a blessing.?So, I am sharing with you some pictures I took during the
reunion at my Father-in-law's farm. The Home Decor I need to do this week is to
recover my home from the whole family being there - it was such a delight - I just
wonder where the other dozen people were - those who used up all of my towels.
Last week, was light for me. I am so thankful to all those who shared in the summer?
series, "How Does She Do It". Judith at Lavender Cottage shared her gardening
passion, love for tea and for family. She has also graciously offered a Delightsome
giveaway - two battenburg lace parasols - perfect for a tea time tablescape.
Continuing in the "Finding Your Quiet Center" theme of the classic Victoria
Magazines, I shared with you some wonderful insight shared by four
authors in the 1995 issue. As well as sharing Nancy Lindemeyer's love for?
fall stating, that 'we are romantics.
Here are the Highlights from last week's Party:
At A Daily Cup with Mrs. Olson, Jann shared the gorgeous blooms in her garden - and a few
garden visitors. She has a very lovely garden and amazing photos. I love it when ordinary items are made extraordinary. Amber did just that at Junkaholics Unanimous?with some apple baskets, burlap and some leftover chair spindles - beautiful. I love it when we're taken to beautiful homes and beautiful places through blogging. Shirley
at Sweet Romantic Notions took us on an enchanting tour of a historic cemetery in Boston,
Forest Hills - the building structures, the statues just take your breath away. This encased statue shows
the beauty ?of these statues before the affect of the environment. I have seen some bloggers share how they transform the upholstery of furniture by painting it.
Paul and Cathy at One Creative Couple, they take it a step further by creating a canvas
of gorgeous rose artwork?on this lovely chair. Inspirational.
I appreciate all of you who share at Home and Garden Thursday weekly - you
simply amaze me! I thoroughly enjoy each new visitor and participant - welcome!
